México is the country which has reported a major anual growth about the use of this tools for making purchases. According to a recent study made; 92% of mexican people consider that Internet is the most important tool for them, above other services like the television, news and radio. In 2006, the selling through Internet reported an increase of 59% and it is expected a similiar behavior when this year conclude. The favorite categories for the mexican people are the trip and consumer products. The credit card was the payment option more used for getting these kind of products.
On the other hand, Brazil is not behind of this numbers and it has reported an increase of 49% in this first semester of this year in comparison to last one. The selling made through Internet are around US$ 300 millions. This number is not include selling of cars, fligth tickets and auctions websites. There were 4 important factors that influenced in this significant numbers:
1. Increase in the selling in a 45%: It is expected a growth of 45% more than 2006. It is calculate in money around US$ 200 millions more.
2. Increase in the consumers: In the first semester is registered 8 millions of users on the Net. While in 2006 were 7 millions of people
3. Increase in the frequency of purchase
4. Increase in the purchase of products more expensive with a growth of 3%
Finally, another interesting datum is a 19% of the total selling was made in May; time where many Latin American countries celebrating the Mother’s Day.
